The two word searches on SFWatcher.com use the 'like' architecture. What this means is that if you type the letter 'e' on the Movie Title field and select search, your results will be any movie with words in the title that contain the letter 'e'. Same for the star search. I constructed it this way to help those visitors who might only know a portion of a title or star's name.
The browse features work by the first letter of the last name of the director or star, or by the attribute you've selected to browse by (rating, studio, year of release, or genre). 'See Them All'brings up a list of all the review in the database, resortable by clicking on the attribute at the head of each column.
If you have any suggestions for additional ways to search or browse, please contact me and I'll see about implementing them. |
